If you submit your website's link on a do-follow site, that link will be a do-follow link. Because Google spider will follow and index/crawl that link. Google spider won't follow and index/crawl a no-follow link if you submit your website's link on a no-follow site.

Search Engines access to follow the destination inside the link and the other way of linking won�t let the Search Engines follow the final destination inside the link. In other words we can say that Do-Follow Links are good for Human Traffic and SEO Traffic.

No follow links actually do provide some form of link benefit. Over and above this, they can provide great referral traffic from people clicking through your links. An excellent example of useful no follow links are blog comment links. The vast majority of blogs are no follow these days, which was put in place to discourage comment spam.

Nofollow link is exactly vice-versa of dofollow link. These are non-crawling link which are not passed by search engines bot and hence can�t be cached or indexed. It is obvious when we wish to prevent a link from crawling and indexing.

Dofollow link is a kind of hyperlink which says all search engines crawlers to pass through which also put an impact over page rank. When we opt to employ or attempt to achieve a dofollow link then it is counted by search engines and sits in the eye of Google, Bing, MSN, Yahoo etc. as a backlink for your website and enhances your site ranking.

A link is determined to be either a DoFollow or NoFollow by the rel tag added to the link. If the link does not have the �rel� tag then it is automatically set to be a DoFollow. When a link is placed anywhere on the internet (Website, blog, forum, YouTube, etc) it will pass some of the link popularity of the page/site where the link is located to the website it is pointing too.
NoFollow links where introduced to solve the problem mentioned above. To stop spammers gaining value from links that where just spam and should not have been adding value to the websites they where pointing to, the NoFollow tag was born. Now most links that are posted in forums, blogs, basically anywhere you can comment are tagged with NoFollow.

All great reply's...I don't even bother with no follow, they basically just make the site you put your link on better, that is, unless its a really high traffic website that you actually can get real traffic from.

A no follow link is a link that does not count as a point in the page's favor, does not boost PageRank, and doesn't help a page's placement in the SERPs. No follow links get no love. Theirs is a sad and lonely life. The nofollow tag is basically a notice sign for search engines saying “don't count this.
