The traffic that comes from established links is essentially free, but earning those links is not. It takes time and money to other sites to build a link network. For the most part, building links is an upfront cost, and should be viewed as a capital investment in site marketing that is immediately deductible for accounting purposes.

I'd like to express the point that Blog posting is very helpful for increasing traffic.
Can suggest Blogpostingservice.biz - Their Blog Posting Services are designed to add to the effectiveness of your online marketing efforts. Having a number of the most-commonly entered keywords or terms isn�t going to generate better search engine rankings.

Profile link is also the way to build the backlink but its not really effective. However, i am sure that link won't increase the traffic.

In my opinion , profile linking is not a good way after panda and penguin updates. Google is giving importance to the relevant contents back links and the profile links are irrelevant so give importance to the quality not to quantity.
