Basically, Google is going after the low-grade MFA-type sites in a big way. They started making announcements back in late January, although I noticed behavior in this regard myself around the end of December, and it looks like they're going to amp up this aspect of their content filtering.

So if you're running a site with potential content issues (i.e. your content is unoriginal or low in quality), pay attention to this. Usually when big G does something, they don't just make a couple of posts about it and then move on. It's usually a long, ongoing process and there are usually more shots to be fired from the Google cannon.
