Gray hat SEO refers means a Search Engine Optimization strategies that fall in between White Hat SEO & Black Hat SEO. Gray hat SEO techniques can be legitimate in some cases & illegitimate in others. Such techniques include Doorway Pages, Gateway Pages, Cloaking & duplicate content etc.

Doorway pages isnt Grey hat SEO it is black hat seo. Any form of link building such as blog commenting, geust posting and directories are considered grey hat seo.

IMO, I don't think there is really such thing as grayhat. Blackhat and whitehat will do.

Well, gray hat SEO is the combination of both white hat SEO and black hat SEO.

Gray hat techniques are mixture of white hat and black hat seo techniques... which are not so much harmful to website as compared to black hat but not safe as white hat techniques.
