The answer is yes that domain age is an important SEO factor for your Google ranking. Yes. Though sites that are registered for only an year also get ranked domains that are registered for long years have their advantage. But if the content is not good enough, value of the domain age would be of no use there.

Domain age is considered as one of the important factor in ranking. Old domains are considered valuable by Google.
