The answer is yes that domain age is an important SEO factor for your Google ranking. Among the hundreds of weighting factors that Google considers in determining how to rank search engine results is the age of your domain. But it’s the matter that how many links and how long your domain seeing in the search engines. If your domain is 5 Years old and has no-good backlinks then its like as the domain which you purchase yesterday.Domain name age calculated by current date or expiration date minus (-)domain name registration date.To check domain name registration and expiration date visit the site WhoisXY.com

Yes. Though sites that are registered for only an year also get ranked domains that are registered for long years have their advantage. But if the content is not good enough, value of the domain age would be of no use there.
