Can anyone list out the details about possum update which was recently rolled out by Google, I like to get the core aim of this algorithmic update.

Possums are quadrupedal diprotodont marsupials with long tails. The smallest possum, indeed the smallest diprotodont marsupial, is the Tasmanian pygmy possum, with an adult head-body length of 70 mm (2 3⁄4 in) and a weight of 10 g (3⁄8 oz). The largest are the two species of bear cuscus which may exceed 7 kg (15 lb 7 oz).

Thanks for that. I did notice some change but that was the first I have heard of the possum update.

Google Possum is Google's latest algorithm update, which affects local results.

Possum has nothing to do with live indexing. This update is related to local SEO, in short word business had problem to rank for city if they fall of its borders. Now with this update they rank like they are inside city borders equally with competition from that city.

Possum has nothing to do with live indexing. This update is related to local SEO, in short word business had problem to rank for city if they fall of its borders. Now with this update they rank like they are inside city borders equally with competition from that city.
