Google Search Algorithm Update - 3rd November 2011 - Site Owners Forums

Hi Friends,

Yesterday Google roll out a new update to its algorithm. After Caffeine last year, this is another significant update from Google. According to Amit Singhal (who provide this crucial information on Google blog) this update is going to affect as much as 35 % of total search results. As per this new update in Google algorithm, now Google is going to provide more up-to-date and relevant results for certain types of search queries. The type of content that is going to be affected through this update includes:

1. Recent Events / topice
2. Recurring Events
3. Frequent updates

This update is said to be "designed to better understand how to differentiate between these kinds of searches and the level of freshness you need"
So I hope it is not going to affect the regular searches.

thnaks .But i think these change cames when google caffeine is launch.did you know latest google panda updates. if yes then please share it.

I think your are right, it effect my website. Fresh and relevant content can get rank in search result page.
