Hi,
Do follow and no follow links are very important to tell the search engine bots I mean crawlers to tell them whether they follow this link or not if you give them do follow means that you are voting for that website as a good quality website and there is no harm in that website. If you are giving no follow means there is no value to search engines to follow that links because they are affiliate links or other links which are not important
