Hi, I am doing SEO for a website of local cleaning business. This website has a forum which wasn't maintained well before they handled me the website. During this time a lot of spam topics and forums was created by spammers (some of those topics was adult/gambling related). These spammers also created lots of toxic links(according to ahref total 4.5k). I have already deleted all those replies/topics from the site and disavowed most of those backlinks. Its been around 2 months I have done those work but the website still not showing expected result. Is there anything else I should do? Thanks.

For toxic backlinks you can just disavow the links using Google disavow tool. These disavowed links will not be counted by Google for ranking your keywords in SERPs.
