If you mean best for marketing, there is no object "best" social network. You'll have to do some research and experiment a bit to find it which one works best for your business.

Social networking sites are helpful to getting a good ranking on google and also good to get link juice. Google has a good terms with social networking sites so there are more chances for your website to get crawled. Some good social networking sites are:
Facebook,
Google plus,
My space,
Twitter,
Linkedin,
foursquare
Etc.
YouTube is good for video sharing as YouTube is very popular. My favorite social networking site is Facebook while twitter ranked in 2nd position.
