Bing VS Google - Site Owners Forums

If you have to choose a search engine which one you will choose bing or google. Please note that bing drives almost 25% of the traffic of the web which quite satisfactory and one more factor that the webmasters can take advantage from bing is that it is very easy to rank on bing as compared to google while google is very strict about their policies and they are looking for quality content only. Personally I still prefer google because still 75% of the traffic is generated by the search giant and also I get visitors from Google that are highely targetted

Google is definitely the safer bet. It is still THE search engine for just about everyone.

I use bing as an alternative. Both the search engines are useful to me because sometime bing helps me more than google.

Google is the mostly used and effective search engine because of there strict rules and policies. Other thing is if you are optimizing your website for google, then definately this optimization will work on other search engines as well.

Google is the best search engine. But from PPC point of view Bing is best. You get higher number of conversions at less cost.

I think this is your misconception. If you rank well on bing and yahoo then you stay there for longer duration. They don't have any web spam algorithm.

google is where you get almost 80% of traffic. If you can bring a keyword in google then it will be easy to rank the same keyword in other search engines quite easily.

You should focus on Google first. Once you have achieved your goals for this search engine, you can work on getting traffic from Bing. Always prioritize the place from where you can win the most.
