Google starting to penalize pictures they deem as duplicates, but they are making a l
Google is now seeking to establish who posted images originally (which is admirable), and looking at website body text and date. Everyone will likely be penalized when they deem that you have scraped the picture, comparable to scraping content. My problem is that there is no due process in place. If they claim you have scraped the image, good luck in getting this rectified.
