What is RAID Servers

RAID stand form "Redundant Array of Internet Drivers". It is basically used to increase Redundancy and make the system more Reliable.

The disks in RAID are setup in such a way so as to distribute the data on all the disks but the array is considered as one single disk by the operating system. RAID can be used for different reasons but Redundancy and Reliability is the main purpose of RAID.

Redundancy is the most important factor in the development of RAID for server environments. This allowed for a form of backup of the data in the storage array in the event of a failure. If one of the drives in the array failed, it could either be swapped out for a new drive without turning the systems off (referred to as hot swappable) or the redundant drive could be used. The method of redundancy depends on which version of RAID is used.

Raid Servers can be considered on which raid hard drives are installed. The benefits of raid servers is that it is offers redundant solution and security to your data.

The data is backed-up through the remote backup solution based on the R1Soft Continuous Data Protection software. A web interface logins are provided to the clients, where they can see their backed-up data. Usually, the backups are done by the provider itself depending on the backup frequency recommended by the clients.

The core advantages of off-site backup solutions is the security of your valuable data stored on the off-site servers. In case, if the server is crashed or the hard-drive malfunction due to some issue, all your data can be restored from the off site servers.

RAID is a storage technology that brings together several hard generate drive elements into a sensible device. Information is allocated across the pushes in one of several ways called RAID levels based on what level of redundancy as well as is needed. In Oct 1986, the IBM S/38 declared "checksum". Checksum was an execution of RAID-5. The execution was in the os and was software only and had not less than 10% expense.

Hello,

RAID stands for Redundant Array of Inexpensive (Independent) Disks. It was a system developed whereby a large number of low cost hard drives could be linked together to form a single large capacity storage device that offered superior performance, storage capacity and reliability over older storage solutions.

There are 4 different types of RAID :

RAID 0 - 2 disk, No redundancy
RAID 1 - 2 disk, Excellent redundancy
RAID 5 - 3 disks, Good redundancy
RAID 10 - 4 disks, Excellent redundancy

Its a process to interlink between many hard drive to enhance the capacity and become it to superior.
