A while ago a lot of people were crazy about directory submission, however, recently social bookmarking has become more popular.
Which method do you prefer more?

Directory submission and social bookmarking both are good techniques but people like to more prefer social bookmarking. Nowadays you can see more people refer to social bookmarking websites so it is beneficial to use bookmarking rather than directory for more traffic on your website and also increase backlinks which help in search engine ranking.

See, if you ask me on gun-point, I�d say social bookmarking. But if I�ve to answer w�out any such fears, I�ll say both. While social bookmarking catalyses indexing and improves your website�s exposure, submitting to popular niche directories helps you with high quality backlinks and also gets you streams of referral traffic.

I think, social bookmarking is more effective for you site because in here you bookmark as globally which is useful to get the best back link and traffic for website.
