Types of Keyword ? What is Major Difference Between Primary, Secondary, Tertiary Keywords

Two types of Keywords are Primary keywords and Secondary keywords. Primary keywords are the one that are given the most importance while optimizing a web page.They appear on the most vital areas like the header and footer, inbound anchor text, H1 tags, Meta tags etc. Primary keywords should be repeated with a certain amount of keyword density through out the page.

On the other hand, the secondary keywords are the ones that are less important and supports the primary keywords for its marketing.They are many a times combination of one or more keywords and can be used with or without more combinations at different places.They form the lesser proportion of keyword density.They are keywords that other sites have already optimized for and therefore may be difficult to break into the top 10 search engine page results.

As the name suggests, Primary keywords are the ones(mostly one or two) that are given the most importance while optimizing a web page.They appear on the most vital areas like the header � footer � inbound anchor text � H1 tags � Meta tags etc. The secondary keywords are the ones that are less important and supports the primary keywords for its marketing.

For instance, if you are dealing in Canon power shot digital camera 2MP, Digital camera is your primary keyword, while Canon power shot digital camera 2MP is secondary.

Tertiary keywords are a group of keywords or keyword-phrases (usually no more than 10) that are used after the secondary keyword or keyword phrase.
