Hosting multiple websites under the same hosting plan?

Is hosting 2,3,4 websites normal under 1 shared hosting plan? I see many offer unlimited domains, but I always thought that meant unlimited domains that refer to one web site.

In other words, if I have 2 totally distinct web sites I want hosted, will I have to get 2 separate plans or can I use 1 plan in some cases?

Thanks.

Why don't you try jolis.net hosting service?
I do believe they are able to satisfy all your demands.
And they have a coupon: 50PERCENT (expires 30th Nov. 2011) - 50% off!

As I can see, there are some webhost recommendations here.
I would like to express the point that liquid-host.com impressed me a lot.
This decent host updates all their software on a regular basis so fantastico is usually up-to-date, and their security is as good as it gets.
I am really happy to have found this great hosting service.

You can host multiple websites under your shared hosting plan. cPanel hosting has this feature with which you can add your sites as addon domain over your main domain.

Be careful and get a host willing to work with you on resources hosting a bunch of sites in one account can lead to trouble if you dont have the right host.

It is just normal practice to use one account for multiple domain names. You can host independent sites under same account, not just pointing multiple domain names to same site.
