New IP address - Does it hurt to change? - Site Owners Forums

HELP!

1. A few week ago we changed our IP address to a new server that has a more robust ecommerce platform. Shortly there after our page rank dropped from a 5/10 to 3/10. Did the IP change cause this?

2. Also, some of the search terms that we once ranked #2 on in Google we aren't even on the planet. Did the IP change have anything to do with this? Some of the other search terms that dropped in google seem to be pointing to old cashed copies of the site that are not coming up because they are no linger on that server.

Any help is welcomed.....
