Majestic SEO actually offers several tools to help webmasters. Its backlink checker crawls the web itself – it doesn’t use third-party data to deliver the information. You can use it to find the backlinks pointing to your own site or to that of a competitor, including the number of referring domains and IPs.

Backlinks are approaching connects to a website page. At the point when a page connects to some other page, it's known as a backlink. Previously, backlinks were the real metric for the positioning of a site page. A page with a considerable measure of backlinks tended to rank higher on all real web crawlers, including Google.

The Backlinks are links from outside domains that point to pages on your domain; essentially linking back from their domain to yours. To a larger degree, your backlink profile is made up of backlinks from external sites.

A backlink for a given web resource is a link from some other website to that web resource. A web resource may be a website, web page, or web directory. A backlink is a reference comparable to a citation
