how to optimize images for seo

I have a website and am writing my own content. However I do not understand about SEO Image. Who can give me advice?

Include alt tag within your image and this is to tell the search engine what the image is all about.

Image optimization is very important step in SEO, It helps in improving over all website speed and loading time. Things you can do to optimize image on site:
- Rename them as per the keywords
- Compress image for faster loading
- Use alt tag & Title tag

-Long Description for image
-Give title of Images
-SEO Friendly Url of Image, Use keyword in the URL
-Size of Image should be less which is an SEO Friendly

Images plays very vital role in On page SEO. jUST PUT SOME light weight images on site with Alt and Title Attribute. In alt and title attribute should put your desired keyword and that's it.

YOu can make use of the Yoast plugin if you are using Wordpress platform.

You need to assign alt tags to your images.

The images should have an alt tag which describes the image.
