When you visit the page a cookie will be stored on your browser when you visit other page of the same site Google will check cookie and determine if you are a new user or the one that comes from some other page of the same domain! Session and visit are two different things

When you surf any web page then it will count as a visit. And total number of spent time will count as a Session.

Session and visit are two different things. When user click on a web page or website then it is called as visit and the time duration which the user stay, called as a session.

Sessions were the number of people who returns to your website to check out the content, while visit will be the number of people who goes to your website without doing anything.
