You can force the search engine to ignore the ODP information by including a robots meta tag like this: <meta name="robots" content="noodp" />

Noodp= No Open Directory Project
These are used if your website is listed in one of these directories with information you do not want used in the results pages. This might be the case if you have old, outdated listings that no longer apply. They tell robots not to use information from these sources, and they are optional. |

‘Noodp’ stands for ‘No Open Directory Project’. It’s used by Google, Yahoo and Bing so that the website owner can specify that their own written meta descriptions are used, rather than a meta description taken from DMOZ

'Noodp' remains for 'No Open Directory Project'. It's utilized by Google, Yahoo and Bing with the goal that the site proprietor can determine that their own particular composed meta portrayals are utilized, instead of a meta depiction taken from DMOZ

Prevents the search engines from showing a snippet of this page in the search results and prevents them from caching the page. noodp. Used to block search engines from using the description for this page in DMOZ (aka ODP ) as the snippet for your page in the search results.

Prevents Search engine (Google, Yahoo and MSN) to display its own description taken from its directory, instead of you meta description. Using below tag would ensure that Search engine would display your meta description below search results and it would be useful to improve your CTR.

If you need to remove the noodp tag on a specific post or page, please set the meta robots to None on the post or page.

The "noodp" directive tells crawlers to not use metadata from the Open Directory project (dmoz.org) for titles or snippets shown in search results for your page
