Latent Semantic Indexing (LSI) is a mathematical method used to determine the relationship between terms and concepts in content. The contents of a webpage are crawled by a search engine and the most common words and phrases are collated and identified as the keywords for the page

LSI is a term in SEO, which stands for Latent Semantic Indexing. When a search engine (Google, Yahoo, Bing ...) uses this method, it will try to list searches related to the keyword you are looking for.

The Latent Semantic Index (LSI) probably sounds like an antiquated library system or something you’d find tucked away in the corner of a research laboratory. In fact, Latent Semantic anything sounds way more intimidating than it actually is.
