Facebook ads are so much effective to get traffic from facebook if your ads are clicked it will directly redirect to your website.

If you have a large customer base you can make lookalike audiences, which means you can target your ads towards people who share similar traits as previous customers. The lookalike targeting has proven extremely effective and I would strongly recommend trying it out.

I mostly optimize campaigns towards conversions on website, which works perfectly in combination with lookalike targeting.

If you are running the campaign properly, than yes it is very useful o increase the ranking and traffic of the website. You have to make sure your campaign is visible to your target audience like your target geographical location, age group of your audience, etc with proper call to action details.

if your is not visible to your target audience than your campaign will not give you any returns.
