Latent Semantic Indexing (LSI) is a mathematical method used to determine the relationship between terms and concepts in content. The contents of a webpage are crawled by a search engine and the most common words and phrases are collated and identified as the keywords for the page.

LSI stands for Latent Semantic Indexing. This technique is established to obtain the data by relating the word to its closest counterparts or to its similar context.

Latent Semantic Indexing (LSI) is a system used by Google and other major search engines (Update: read here, thanks for the Tweets, guys) The contents of a web page are crawled by a search engine and the most common words and phrases are collated and identified as the keywords for the page. It is a part of the Google algorithm.

Latent Semantic Indexing is when the text content of a webpage is scanned and crawled by search engines, such as Google. Then after it is crawled, the words and phrases that come up the most are gathered and recorded as the main keywords for that webpage.
