A 301 is referred to as a permanent redirect and is used when the URL of the website changes. The entire link juice is passed onto the redirected page and so it is the most preferred redirection.

A 302 redirection is a temporary redirection and does not pass any link juice to the redirected page. This redirection is never recommended from the perspective of SEO

The 301 redirect is highly recommended if your goal is to retain your SEO ranking and authority from your old web pages to the new ones.

302 redirect – less SEO benefits.
The use of temporary redirect will tell the search engine to continue indexing the old page.

302 Redirect :It is also called as the temporary redirect that does not progress on all qualities of the redirected page to the detour page but it provides a convenient way to implement that is many webmasters unfamiliar with search engine mechanics use the wrong type of redirect.

302 redirect knowns as that the move are only temporary. Search engines need to figure out whether to keep the old page or replace it with the one found at the new location and a 301 redirect means that the page has permanently moved to a new location. This depends on your requirement which type of redirection that is both redirect method.

A 301 redirect is used when an inbound link to a particular page references a page that has been permanently moved to a different location on the web.

A 302 redirect will not permanently pass the reputation and credibility of the original URL to the New URL.
