Internal links-The links which are redirected to any other webpage of the same website is called internal links.
External links- The links which are redirected to any other site from your site is called external link. |

Links redirects a website to its own pages are called Internal Links and Links redirects to any other website are called External Links. Internal linking is advised for better Search Engine Optimization results as External Links are to be kept at minimum because search engines do not like lot of outgoing links from a web page.
