How often should I build backlinks?
I've heard some SEO people talk about natural looking backlinks and I'm wondering if the frequency of backlink acquisition affects how natural a backlink profile looks to google.

Link velocity is important and is a ranking factor. depending on your competition, a link a day from a relevant site with decent metrics should do.
