What are the UTM tags in google analytics and how to use them properly?
I am now studying how to use google analytics and quite often I read about
UTM tags that are added in the URLs. So, that Google analytics can track it. How to use it and is it really helpful? Thank you |

utm tags allow you to add custom variables to your site url so that you can track the traffic flowing to it. For example if you are running multiple ad campaigns then create a separate utm based url for each campaign.
Then inside google analytics you can track the traffic from each campaign. |

A UTM code is a simple code that you can attach to a custom URL in order to track a source, medium, and campaign name. This enables Google Analytics to tell you where searchers came from as well as what campaign directed them to you.
