In SEO,What are Spiders, Robos and Crawlers and what are their functions?

Web crawler is also called web spider which is an automatic indexer. Search engine is having two two major functions:- crawling & building an index.
Automated robots and called spiders or crawlers can reach billions of interconnected documents.

A spider is a program run by a search engine to build a summary of a website’s content (content index). Spiders create a text-based summary of content and an address (URL) for each webpage.
