I wanted to know that Social Media like FB, G+ and twitter helps to rank high with targeted keywords in Search Engine or not?

Yes, Social media is used to increase the traffic to your site. Then the keyword ranking is also get increased to your site in search engine.

Social media have a large number of users and SEO is a process to get more users to your website. So social networking sites are very good platform to get traffic. You have to drop your website url with images, videos or posts, that may help you to get more visitors.
