Memory used by various browsers
Browsers vary in their memory usage, but generally, Chrome and Firefox tend to use more memory than other browsers like Edge and Safari. Chrome, in particular, is known for running each tab as a separate process, which can lead to higher RAM usage as more tabs are open. Firefox also consumes a considerable amount of memory, especially when dealing with media-rich content or multiple tabs. Edge and Safari, on the other hand, have implemented more memory-efficient techniques like "Sleeping Tabs" and process hierarchies to reduce memory overhead.
