Can anyone tell me, Does linking to other websites help SEO?

There's a lot of debate in the web world, particularly in the SEO & marketing departments of mid-size and larger organizations, about whether or not to link out to other websites from their own. People are scared for a number of reasons; they worry that linking out could:

Harm their reputation
Damage their search engine rankings
Cost them PageRank
Create exit portals where users will drop off

Just remember to avoid reciprocal linking as it can penalize your website.

Yes, Linking to other sites help to increase your Google rank.

Of course it works. If you know about link juice then you should know every links matter even your internal links. But always be sure to link to relevant site and avoid reciprocal link.

Yes, it helps but try to link back to your website from the niche website or you are web designing company then you can give your website link in the footer but do not use the same anchor text.
