Purpose of Sitemap
The purpose of a sitemap is to spell out your web site’s central content themes and to indicate each programme to search engine spiders and your visitors where to seek out info on your site.

The Sitemaps protocol allows a webmaster to inform search engines about URLs on a website that are available for crawling. A Sitemap is an XML file that lists the URLs for a site

Hello Friend,

Sitemaps are an easy way for webmasters to inform search engines about pages on their sites that are available for crawling. In its simplest form, a Sitemap is an XML file that lists URLs for a site along with additional metadata about each URL (when it was last updated, how often it usually changes, and how important it is, relative to other URLs in the site) so that search engines can more intelligently crawl the site.

There are two types of sitemap
(1)XML Sitemap
(2)HTML Sitemap

basically the sitemaps are used for easy crawling of websites by search engine robots.

Simply a sitemap can guide google bot. We can prioritize important pages. Also if the website has 1000s of pages sitemap will be helpful with indexing the URLs.

sitemap show the simple way of all pages of website there are two type of sitemap
first xml sitemap second html sitemap.

Sitemaps are a great tool for both web designers and visitors.
There are two types of Sitemaps.
HTML sitemap and XML sitemap.
HTML sitemap can be used effectively to increase tor he usability of a website by providing a page that links out to every page on the site
An XML sitemap is useful for search engines.
