what is to be done to get back the keyword ranking?
By removing the meta tags from the site or the sitemap from the webmaster tool, it would degrade the keyword ranking of the website. In that case what is to be done to get back the keyword ranking again for the website.

Actually as per my opinion, It will cause of your website ranking. Then redo whatever changes you made.
