The quality of the links is also important for both Follow and No-Follow. Google even looks at the quality of the links/sites to your site. Backlinks play a big roll in website authority. The other day I was working on a travel industry project and when I did an analysis on Airbnb, it had more than 3.9 Million Backlinks. That's why you find them in number 1 - 3 on Google in Organic Search and Paid Advertising too.
