Check Google Analytic for Traffic Data:
If one day, your traffic seems normal, and the next day there's a sharp drop-off (or possibly no traffic at all), that's a pretty good indicator of a possible penalty.

Check Whether Your Site is Still Indexed:
Go to Google and type in site:yourdomain.com

Check for a Recent Google Algorithm Update:

Check Google Webmaster Tools: Error, index pages and Search Queries and check Webmaster message

If you put your domain name or url in the search bar and get no result of your site that means your site is banned or removed from google data base. It happens due to several reasons such as manual penalty, your server is blacklisted etc etc.

If you want to know that is your website is penalized or not, you have to do one thing. You have to write your website domain name in the search engine box. If the result will appear as your site is shown on the search engine then, you can say it that your website is not penalized nor banned. If your website doesn't appear on the search engine that means its banned or penalized.
