To improve keyword rankings you have to improve your website content quality with the user requirements. Search what your users or niche interested people search for the services or products you provides. Consider the long tail keywords for your services and add them in titles or content in web page, blogs, articles, web 2.0 etc.
Use social media and book marking sites like medium, growthhackers, inbound for marketing your content. Focus on user and content they search and provide the relevant information to the right users.
