When Google visits your site, it detects new and updated pages and links, and can use this information to update the Google index, which is used for both Google Web Search and Custom Search.

You can also request immediate indexing of new or updated URLs, so that the latest versions of these pages are included in your custom search engine within 24 hours. (Requesting indexing doesn’t have any effect on Google Web Search results, though.)

It is useful to index each web page of the site by crawling and indexing information.

Can you spot the latent semantic indexing within this article on latent semantic indexing? Keep reading and we'll see if latent semantic indexing becomes clear enough by the end of this article that you find the examples in it. Latent semantic indexing is an important of SEO, or search engine optimization, and SEO is vital to internet marketing. Internet marketing, of course, is necessary to get the word out about your website in order to draw as much traffic to your site as possible.

It is a way of google to gather information from all over the internet.
These information are used for displaying results when a user search on the web.

Google index is similar to an index in a library, which lists information about all the books the library has available. However, instead of books, the Google index lists all of the webpages that Google knows about. When Google visits your site, it detects new and updated pages and updates the Google index.

When you sit down at your computer and do a Google search, you're almost instantly presented with a list of results from all over the web. How does Google find web pages matching your query, and determine the order of search results?

In the simplest terms, you could think of searching the web as looking in a very large book with an impressive index telling you exactly where everything is located. When you perform a Google search, our programs check our index to determine the most relevant search results to be returned ("served") to you.

The three key processes in delivering search results to you are:

Crawling: Does Google know about your site? Can we find it?
Indexing: Can Google index your site?
Serving: Does the site have good and useful content that is relevant to the user's search?
