having your articles published both on your website and on a digital publishing platform like scribd (high authority site, PR8) witch indexes the full content.
does google see it as duplicate content?
do you stand a chance in outranking them if you do a perfect on-page optimization!!
i'd love to hear your thought on this.

Let's write a new article and post it on other websites, and set the path to your website in it.

No, it is not preferred to use same article in more than a single website. Using same content in both the website will be considered as duplicate content by Google, which will ultimately affect your website ranking.

Yes Google will check weather the content is fresh or duplicate.Article submission is an important technique to get high rank in search engines but make sure use only quality content in this.
