Both internal and inbound links are important parts of SEO. However, they aren’t the same and it’s important to understand the difference between them. Internal links are located within your website and link from one page on your site to another on your site. For example, you might have a link to a “contact us” page on your homepage. That is considered an internal link. An inbound link, or external link, is a link located on another website that points to your web page. An example of an inbound link is an industry specific directory website that has a link to your company page.
