Creating a Facebook fan page makes for an economical addition to any marketing strategy, but some Facebook pages are more effective than others. The key to success with a Facebook page is a large fan base made up of quality demographic targets. Build a loyal following with daily traffic by posting often, adding pictures and interacting with your fans on a regular basis. Keep your traffic flowing by keeping your fan page current. Step 3 Host giveaways and offer incentives using your page as the basis. For instance, if you have a blog or website, you could host a gift certificate giveaway with a stipulation that joining your page is necessary for entry. Or, if you have a retail business, offer a coupon code valid only for page members. Today's Facebook users are savvy, so showing what you can offer entices more traffic. Step 4 Ask for user interaction to help you grow your page. Updating your fans on your latest products, services and news and asking them to spread the word helps utilize the connections of Facebook in driving traffic to your page. Or, keep your fans posting and talking by posing status messages in question form. Instead of "It's hot out today!" post, "It's hot out today. What's the weather like where you are?" Step 5 Utilize social networking to get the word out. If you have a Facebook fan page, consider opening a Google+, Twitter, Bebo and other social networking site account to help extend your brand. For instance, you could tweet about your page on Twitter or recommend your page on Google+ to reach the widest audience possible and push more traffic to your page.
