yes, if you search for a keyword "custom t-shirts online", google will search for pages with word custom, then t-shirts and then online. Google makes a list of these three pages. ie set A will contain custom, set B t-shirts and set C online, then google displays pages that contain all these individual words. then it considers over 200 other signals like title, pagerank, traffic, backlinks etc. for prioritizing these pages in the SERPs.
