SMO, on the flip side, is the process of promoting your website on social media platforms. It includes techniques like social networking, social bookmarking submission, blogging etc.

We use SEO generally to create link by doing some activities like directory submission, article submission, forum posting, blog posting etc.
SMO is social media optimization in which we share our website information to different social media sites like Facebook, twitter, LinkedIn, stumble, pinterest etc.
