I am trying to optimize the internal links structure of my site.

What are relevant tips, apart from the sheer number limit (stay below 100 links per page)?

If you have keyword reach blog then it will be beneficial task to get ranking easily. Just target your keywords and interlink them to the inner page. This will take two benefits, First one is your website ranking will be increased and secon one is your website visitors get always new content to read.
