I own a Canon Rebel XT and for the first year it sat in the box. I thought it would be a great hobby to explore and as it happens, I have yet to learn how to take proper photos. It's a work in progress on my end. Because I have no experience, the customer service rep at Best Buy advised to go with a digital camera and therefore my Rebel is a DSLR.
