This is a very broad question because there are so many factors believed to influence your ability to rank in the search engines, but no one actually understands exactly what has to be done in order to rank. The first thing is to evaluate the strength of your particular keywords. Some will be much easier to rank for than other keywords. Find those that are easier to rank for, but that also have enough search volume to make it worth ranking for. Next will be to create great content related to those keywords for your website. Then start building links back.
