Actually directory posting is not only helpful in building the back links but it is also helpful in getting good keywords rankings also when we use our main keywords in the title bar of the posting.

After Google penguin update there is no effect of directory submission, so right now we have to avoid the directory submission if do then it must be high quality directory.
