Directory submission and social bookmarking both are good techniques but people like to more prefer social bookmarking. Nowadays you can see more people refer to social bookmarking websites so it is beneficial to use bookmarking rather than directory for more traffic on your website and also increase backlinks which help in search engine ranking.
