Use servers from reliable hosting providers: hostingsource.com and legionbox.com.
They are too good in customer support. I have had many questions about issues on which hosting companies are normally reluctant. They have an outstanding community. The questions get often answered in under an hour. |

Well, Legionbox.com would work fine for your needs, OP
 My site has been upgraded to the latest version of phpbb plus phpbb security mod. Always willing to answer any questions with a quick response time. Uptime in my experience is 100%. Finally found a host that really takes care of its clients.
